Thread: Some repairs funded for UL arts building

  1. Louisiana Campus Some repairs funded for UL arts building

UL - least $650,000 for repairs to Fletcher Hall, the arts building at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, was included in the this session’s capital outlay bill, which awaits the governor’s approval.

Water intrusion damaged the exterior wall systems of the building and created other problems in the building.

The university estimated repairs at $4.3 million.

The $650,000 is likely just enough to cover architectural designs for the needed work, said William Crist, ULL facilities management director.

On the topic of building renovation, old Mouton Hall is FINALLY getting a central HVAC system. I popped in to use the bathroom Wednesday and the building is all torn up while they install the new system, and take out the old moldy window units!

Finally, I can be comfortable AND hear the professor, not one or the other!
