I swear some of you will _____ about just about anything.
Hud still has some (if not plenty) benefit of the doubt left that he has earned.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't both Charles Tillman and Ike Taylor here before Bustle?
Yep. Toothpick era.
The sunbelt was loose butthole back them too...HUD might still not have a conference loss if he had this team during those years. North texas used to dominate the sunbelt with a 5-6 record.
Lol Bustle had 9 seasons here and could not win more than 6 stinking games....Hud won 9 his first season here and has won 9 every season he is here. You can come up with as many excuses as you want as to why Bustle never won but 9 seasons is a pretty large sample size.
UNT
Was co-champions in 2001, the first year of SBC football, with a 5-6 record.
Toothpick was still here.
2002 they won 8 and beat Cincinatti
2003 they won 9 and beat Baylor.
MT
2001, won 8 games, beat Vanderbilt, lost to LSU by 16.
2002, beat Vanderbilt, lost to Alabama by 5
ASU
2002, beat Tulsa
2003, lost to Texas A&M by 15
2004, lost to Ole Miss by 7
Troy
2004, won 7 games, beat Marshall, beat Missouri, lost to South Carolina by 10, lost to LSU by 4
NMSU
2001, lost to Oregon State by 5, beat Tulsa
2002, won 7 games, lost to South Carolina by 10, beat New Mexico, beat UTEP
With the team Bustle inherited, Hudspeth would have struggled for a few years too. Don't fool yourself.
Bustle arrived in 2002. By year 4, we were conference co-champions.
Both inherited 3 win teams.
Hudspeth did it in year 3. Oh, and he got us to a bowl game in all 3 of his first years.
Bustle also led that conference co-champion to a 1-5 start with the only win against an FCS school.
Let the damn season play out.
I swear we have one of the most fickle fanbases on the planet.
