Lol, just like our AD, apparently our coaches can't get their jobs done without having a consultant...
I mean really? The guy who was dismissed because he's got a drug problem? Boy I hope this works out
So we hired a guy to tell us our defense needs improvement... Excellent
Yeah, the minute I heard this I actually became more concerned. We have to hire someone to dissect our issues? Is it that hard to determine what our defensive problems, namely in pass defense, are and do we need a 3rd person perspective on this? Either our staff is truly befuddled about this (which would be scary) or, they are possibly at odds with how to improve the play? This is kind of disturbing.
NOt really disturbing. Not sure what his role will be or even the length of his stay, but they could just have him come in, look at film, see the type of players we are dealing with considering all our injuries and throw out some suggestions based on his observations....kind of like a consultant does.
Its a fresh set of eyes that is all. It is helpfully to get an outside perspective...someone who is not in too deep.
Personally I think this is a way to get him in the door here and possibly take a spot on the coaching staff for next season.
I think it's a smart move. Why does something have to be reserved for the business world? As Luke Johnson said in his chat. A fresh set of eyes would be best. A different perspective. That's being responsible. That's what an owner does who cares about his business. Hud knows what he has here is special and it looks like he is doing the smart, responsible thing.
Lets support our Head Coach in this fellas. I can tell you this, I really do not care who improves this and obviously Hud sees a problem so lets get the problem or problems fixed......period
