While you are lovin' up on the hoax, on their board they are doing exactly what I'd expect them to do... root for TX State.

MAT isn't loving on the Hoax, he is loving on the fact that they go balls to the wall defensively on every play until they run out of gas or depth. I applaud them for that, as well, and believe that that is a very large part of the reason they have had any success at all.

And if we went balls to the wall and ran out of gas in the 3rd qtr, people would be _____ing about how we aren't conditioned enough....

People always will find something to btich about. The trick is to not run out of gas. With our DL depth, that should be much less of an issue than it is for the hoax.

I guess you're one of these "numbers never lie" type guys. You obviously didn't watch the game. Or haven't seen ULM play this year. I'm not loving Monroe at all. I'm mature enough to appreciate a solid plan, and an aggressive playing style. No matter who's running it.

I guess I'm looking at it from the perspective that having multiple defensive coaches, we would be able to see what our problems are from watching film and comparing to what schemes we are running. I don't think its as hard as we're making it out to be. Sure, I guess having another set of eyes to see what we are doing wrong is always welcomed but I question why we can't see it from our own coaches eyes. In the end, if it helps out great but I just question why it is required, especially since many of our problems seem to be pretty straight forward.

To put into one word the only reason bringing in an outside consultant makes sense is ... Trust.

To expand on that one word, Hud and the consultant have a longstanding relationship based on ... winning.
