Nation, don't waste your time. Rage is a fan boy. Not to mention, it's obviously unacceptable to talk about UL foorball history and compare seasons.. On the, ya know, fan board of Cajun Athletics. Criticism is not allowed, pointing out facts is being "fickle" and questioning coaching decisions makes you a tiger fan. Carry on..

    fick·le
    ˈfik(ə)l/
    adjective
adjective: fickle; comparative adjective: fickler; superlative adjective: ficklest

changing frequently, especially as regards one's loyalties, interests, or affection.

Hudspeth was God's gift to earth going into this season. 3 game skid and all is forgotten. He doesn't know how to coach. We won't win another game all year. A garbage GaState game will beat us by 2 to 3 touchdowns.

Some were worried that Hudspeth was so good that he would be gone after this year. Now we have threads on whether he should be calling the shots for us.

If that's not the definition of fickle, I don't know what else is.

We all know this team has problems. And if we were at LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, etc., it would be flat out unacceptable to have lost to LaTech and get blown out by Ole Miss or Boise. But guess what, we are the University of Louisiana ... at Lafayette, out of the sunbelt, with a losing record all-time. We have a coach that took us not only to our first bowl game (in 40 years if you want to count it), but to 3 consecutive bowl games. We just had 25k show up to a game between two 1-3 teams after getting embarrassed 3 weeks in a row. Attendance would have been in the low teens in years past.

Pointing out facts is fine, criticism is fine. 80 f'n threads about it is not. Insinuating that Hudspeth doesn't have a clue what he is doing is not. The guy has a 95-36 all time record as a coach. How many college football wins does raginpagin have combined? Rome wasn't built in a fricken day. If we finish 6-6 or worse, by all means, pour in on, but let the guy who took this program to the next level right the ship. Because before he got here, no one would have batted an eye after those 3 losses.

No doubt Hud coached them up. Those guys played much harder under Hud. I'm just saying I am not seeing the increase in talent that I thought I would in Hud's recruits.

There is also a lot to be said between a group of guys who were tired of being losers and would do anything to be winners and a group who don't know how bad it sucks to be losers. When HUD got here, he had the first group...now he needs to figure out a way to manage the second group

At least being a fan boy requires being a fan. What are you?

    Previous 6 years before Hudspeth,

Only 2 losing seasons out of 6. Conference championship. Wins over Kansas State, CUSA champ Houston.

A lot of what you said here is fine, but you are over simplifying that beginning of this season, and you know it.

No jack sss, the conference. You are basing your argument on close losses and that time so and so almost beat so and so. All I know is the conference has gone from our champion having a losing record to 6 bowl eligible a teams last year. How many coaches got bigger jobs during bustles 9 years? How many during hud's? What was the average salary during bustles 9 years? What is the average now?

Funny you left out last 6 seasons under bustle...30 wins

Right now HUD has 29 in 3 and 1/4 seasons
