I know Mr. Jimmy Guidry (owner of Hub City Diner) is a pretty accommodating guy… I obviously can't answer for him and say they will allow you to shoot there, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't work something out… I also 2nd the notion of Palace Cafe in Opelousas. I worked for a short time at the courthouse across the street and stopped there a couple times for lunch and the place kinda creeped me out. Definitely has an old time feel there...

Used to eat regularly at Stansbury's before it became Hub City Diner. Loved their Reuben.

Doug---you can't miss him in the movie---He was the black rimmed guy dancing with the chick at the house party---He wanted to do more roles after the film but ---IS TOO TALL AT 6' 9" OR ABOUT!!! He played at Loyola and before at Brother Martin!!! Johnathan Hernendez was also in it and even Brad Boyd!!!

Brad Boyd is our tom Cox, if you look at pics side by side the resemblance is surprising. Brad if your reading this I swear we will shoot one day.

Dwight's has a Piccadilly style buffet line. The seating walls are semi antique and Cajun flavored though.

Lagneaux's has a very 70's feel with the brown paneling, I find the place is rather "gloomy" for a movie shoot.

I second Alesi's, also Cafè Vermilionville could work too.

Ken Veron owns/runs Cafe Vermilionville. Ken is a very friendly guy that is down to earth, a UL graduate, supports local music/film and is easy to talk to. Filming at his place sounds like something he would be up for.

Check out the Palace Cafe in Opelousas. Still looks like it did in the 60's.

The Palace Cafe looks just as it did in the 60's, definitely has an old time feel.
