So Nixon has 2 successful drives, 1 of then that was garbage time and he is the savior but haack has a bad game and he isn't ready, got it.

I don't think this is the thread for that discussion, but I'll say that a) Nixon and Haack have shown about equal amounts of good stuff with Nixon not having a terrible South Al performance, and b) that being said, Haack is the guy that's kept his nose clean and is able to compete so I have zero problem with him as our backup AND as the projected starter next year. Nixon messed up, if he wants that job he's going to have to serve his entire punishment then beat Haack and whatever other new guys we have competing. Nothing will or should be given to him.

On the topic of Hill, I'm all for due process, so have him suspended until all of this is cleared up. However, they've got whatever happened on video and were compelled to arrest him based on that. I'll just say it doesn't look good, and if he is indeed guilty then playing football for us will both be out of the question and the least of his concerns.

Just FYI, from the info I've been able to attain which is off the record, the video was not available at the time of arrest and that it may exonerate the young man. There is also a child involved, so lets hold off judgment until all the facts have been released. While it looks bad on its face, this is much more than just a claim of domestic violence at this time.

Hopefully he Domestically Abused and Battered the NCAA Clearinghouse representative who held his case up. I wonder if he had been allowed to play if this would have happened.

Police said they later located the victim at a local hospital. Based on her statements and supporting video, Hill was booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail for domestic abuse battery."

Its off the record meaning no one is going to discuss the matter in public. Now if the video shows him punching this young lady, which he denies..... he is done. They have a child together, that is not rumor.

What don't you understand about I know the kid can run. Do you want to trust him as your guy? This is his 2nd punishment we know about. I'm not saying Nixon suck but you are crowning the guy for getting a first down. Jalen Nixon would have been down 17-0 at south al just like haack was. If you have to go with haack the play calls will change. As stubborn as this coaching staff appears to be up until this point, there is nothing that makes me think otherwise that the game plan with haack was destined to fail. Talking about Nixon right now is about as useless as talking about if we still had babb, des or gautier.

Only in that is what he claims. Just letting everyone know he denies it and that this incident took place with not just his ex-girlfriend, but the mother of his child.
