SPHL Completes Dispersal Draft

Huntsville, AL--The newest members of the Southern Professional Hockey League, Lafayette, Mississippi and Pensacola completed the dispersal draft today of players on the rosters of the Richmond Renegades and Twin City Cyclones, two former SPHL teams not returning for the 2009-10 SPHL season.
Each new member team was allowed to select up to six players who were on the Richmond or Twin City rosters in a round robin draft selection process.
SPHL Commissioner Jim Combs announced the draft results this afternoon and also stated that “any players not selected in the draft are now free agents and are eligible to sign with any team in the SPHL.”
