When it comes to the Major League Baseball First-Year Player draft, always expect the unexpected. At least that's what draft history has taught us, according to UL coach Tony Robichaux.
This year, the Washington Nationals have pegged San Diego State pitching ace Stephen Strasburg to be the first overall pick. After that, the rest of the draft is anyone's guess.
"It's one of those things you just don't know until it happens," Robichaux said of the draft, which runs Tuesday through Thursday. "Everything is an educated guess to the best of your ability. All we can do is talk about the guys you think could be drafted."
The players that Robichaux thinks could be drafted from UL are pitchers Zach Osborne, Justin Robichaux and Greg Wilborn, first baseman/designated hitter Scott Hawkins and incoming shortstop Kevin Lovelace.
