LAFAYETTE — The switch has been flipped.
The University of Louisiana’s public radio station, KRVS 88.7 FM, is broadcasting from its new home in Burke-Hawthorne Hall.
The move marks a new era for the station, which is in the process of applying for a grant to multicast on three channels to offer distinct programming options to listeners.
“Our advantage here is we’ve never been at a shortage of local content,” said Dave Spizale, KRVS’ general manager. “It really opens us up to more community participation and more student participation.”
