Here is one to make us all "feel good" Les Smith is transferring to a D-II school in good ole rocky top. Just got that first hand info tonight.

2bag has it right, he should know. Production! _
Goodness, no you are not the only critic to express their feelings on this forum/board. I feel that you went overboard in your choice of words..."no big loss" in expressing your criticism. The fact that you had to listen to all the critics when your brother played obviously upsets you. But I see no need to use that as a reason for personally "calling out" someone.

Incidentally, I do not believe that anyone "feels good" when an athlete leaves our program. These things happen, and for various reasons. Some of which we will never know.

T, are we going after more JC bats to replace these guys in the short term or sticking with what we have and the commits that are already lined up?

JC corner bat and OF committed, working on one more corner bat and pitcher. All JC's according to my info. I could be wrong on the pitcher.

One question that has been in the back of my mind all season, and seems to have been ignored in all this latest discusion, is the departure of Coach Szefc. I imagine most, if not all of the current roster was recruited by him and that has to play into some of the issues the team faced this season and potentially the departures.

Not to add any fuel to the fire here, but was his depature based on money, oppourtunity, difference of opinion, etc?

Scefz's new team is in an NCAA Regional. He went to a Big 12 BCS school with a recent hoops title. Money was better too, I heard. Szefc recruited most of the 2005 team and nearly all of the 2007 regional team too.

maybe i have missed something here but how is it the coach robes fault for a kid having a dad that wants him to transfer to a JC so that he can be drafted. that is not a coaches fault. Just a few weeks ago i thought all was well with Les and him being a cajun?

There have been a couple different rumors on here, but one is he is going to Juco to get drafted and the other was D2 in Tenn. So if he goes to D2 he wouldn't be able to get drafted for 2 more years just like at UL.
