Something else for everyone to keep in mind...Part of the problem with Les was Coach Trahan and the way he coaches hitter's...To be as brief as possible: He over-coaches:He put's too much in the player's head to think about..As a hitter you CANNOT be over-thinking at the plate

If he doesn't want to be here, then it is best he go anyway!

    Case closed!

It's sad when a parent tries to live through their child.

Best of luck to both Smith and Benzel.

But WOW. Next year is shaping up to be even worse than this year. Being a Cajun fan sure is h@!! on the heart.

Bobby Cox, Atlanta Braves GM, does it everyday. I don't know how or why, but he never blames players in the media. But that's not to say he doesn't take them out to the wood shed in the locker room......

Trahan's track record speaks for itself, talk to the athletes at ULM. Now that his family situation is much more stable, he will be involved full time and I expect to see improvement.

What hurts is losing Whipple and Smith. Those will be hard numbers to replace, but I do have hope with the two new commitments.

So there is a learning curve, perhaps a large one.

At some point (or moment) it actually leaves the head and becomes second nature, when that happens you can expect big results.

Here is one to make us all "feel good" Les Smith is transferring to a D-II school in good ole rocky top. Just got that first hand info tonight.

2bag has it right, he should know. Production! _
Goodness, no you are not the only critic to express their feelings on this forum/board. I feel that you went overboard in your choice of words..."no big loss" in expressing your criticism. The fact that you had to listen to all the critics when your brother played obviously upsets you. But I see no need to use that as a reason for personally "calling out" someone.

Incidentally, I do not believe that anyone "feels good" when an athlete leaves our program. These things happen, and for various reasons. Some of which we will never know.

T, are we going after more JC bats to replace these guys in the short term or sticking with what we have and the commits that are already lined up?
