I think the difficulty is he'd be a DH, not a fielder. In that situation, for much of this year that spot was for Scott Hawkins, Travis Whipple, Les Smith, or Alex Fusilier depending on injuries and who we were playing. I don't know if I would have taken any of those guys out of the regular lineup for Masch.

Masch was injured during the spring and got buried on the depth chart. If he is healthy this fall, he will have a chance to work his way back into lineup or depth at several positions.
