TROY, Ala. - The magic that carried No. 5 seed UL through the first two days of the Sun Belt baseball tournament finally ran out.

For the second consecutive day, No. 1 seed Middle Tennessee played like the regular season league co-champion and eliminated the Ragin' Cajuns, 6-2, in a bracket final on Saturday at Troy's Riddle-Pace Field.

It was UL's second loss in two days to the Blue Raiders, who lost the first four head-to-head meetings this season. The back-to-back losses for the Cajuns (27-30-1) came after they stunned No. 4 seed Florida International and MTSU on the first two days of the league tournament.
