I love all 4 designs. I think L is the way to go.

_ Wow, the Sunbelt home page now calls us Louisiana. Seems like every sports broadcast I've heard recently (besides lsu) Is now calling UL (Louisiana).. I think Louisiana without lafayette is catching on BIG time. To me, the uniforms with just "louisiana" on the front is a big plus. I thought there was a rule that lafayette had to be listed somewhere on the uni's. I'm not complaining, but Are we getting away with something?.. I'm not sure whether UL will ever be known as Louisiana nationally, but they are heading in the right direction.. _

How about everyone who posts on this website use L or Louisiana instead of UL?

_ Did you ever get a response from Dronet? I noticed this week while watching the WCWS and Super Regionals how many schools use the single letter. Washington "W", Florida "F", Louisville "L", Nebraska "N", Arizona "A", Michigan "M", Texas "T", Tennessee "T", Missouri "M", Alabama "A", etc.

My email to both Dronet and Farmer were regarding the use of"Lafayette," "L" and "LU" and it basically asked "who are we?" I never received a response from Dronet (and I'm not suprised). I did received a response from Farmer and it went as follows:

I still believe, for the time being, we should concentrate on Ragin’ Cajuns. That name is as unique as our culture and nobody else in the world calls themselves the Ragin’ Cajuns.

_ Good suggestion, but I didn't have access to those fonts. I used what appeared to be the best of what was available. I see CajunCanaille used that font on the L he created, so how does one access that same font? Let's get creative and come up with some ideas on use of Louisiana and "L". Like Boomer, I too prefer the UL. The question is, if UL legally requires adding Lafayette as does the "University of", "UL" and "U of L", and athletics continues to abide by that per Farmer (and probably Dr. S), how many years do we want to continue this name battle? We may be OK in Lafayette, but outside of it we are UL L. Use of Louisiana and "L" just might solve that problem NOW. We can still call us UL, but our official gear would say Louisiana and "L", with or without Ragin Cajuns. Just something to think about. _

Sadly, our AD doesn't get it either. I will write to him as well. Ragin Cajuns means nothing when the rest of the world thinks of you as Louisiana-Lafayettte, UL Lafayette, LA Lft., and UL L.

http://www.latech.edu/media/graphic-standards.shtml I never realized that La tech used "T" as their logo..I know ive seen it hundreds of times but i never 'SAW' it. They are known a La Tech and not 'T' just as we could be referred to as "LOUISIANA' and not 'L'... My point being... aw hell, i'm not sure anymore..lol.....just frustrated at the ambiguity of the whole name thing
