I'll say this--- if we were to be put out, I'd just as soon be put out of the tourney with a program like UL.

Conversely, if I were a Cajun fan, I'd rather my team be beaten by a solid team like MT than a pretender. We tied our single-season career mark for victories with today's win, and we have a long history of NCAA appearances.

MT vs. Cajuns in the post-season is a given, year in and year out, seems like. _

_ Not so fast on Wilborn.

As the announcers on Cox pointed out. It takes more than a year to come back from Tommy John surgery, and Wilborn is a hard throwing lefty. If he gets a little better with control, he will be a #1 or #2 starter next year.

With the lack of talent on this squad, we need everybody with talent whether they are struggling or not. _

Exactly. The normal rehab time to become effective after TJS is 2 years. One down and one to go. If he is effective by the end of next year he will be on schedule. It is what it is. The staff just isn't very deep, but Greg pitched well enough to be effective if he had an ounce of help.

On the bright side, most of our best hitters are Fr or So.

I think the guys tried as hard as they could. They simply didn't have it this season. It wasn't a case of lack of heart. It was a case of lack of talent.

Way too many "ex-spurts" that have the solutions to all of our lack of hitting, fielding, running the bases,etc. It gets tiresome reading all of the dissertations.

The guys did the best they could. We lost to a very good MT team, and I congratulate them for their victory today and yesterday. I hope they win the tournament and advance far in the regionals and super regionals.

dude ,facts are facts. we have had 2 sub par teams in the past 2 yrs. Not only is it not acceptable, it shouldnt be tolerated either....not by the coach, not by the administration and not by the fans. I just hope coach Trahan can bring in some kids like what Monroe has on there team.(never thought i would say that, but for 2 yrs those guys have played with swagger). My feeling is that we have missed on someof the talent that we have on this team, and we cant win with some of them...period. I am not hear to rip on kids or name any of them, but my opinion is we need to re-recruit at a few positions....soon. We are getting further and further away from where this club should be. I am confident that our staff will work hard to wrap up a few more signees.
