I don't want to sound guilty of putting lipstick on a pig, but they do play in the SBC. They can right the ship. But Hud better open that QB up for competition like every other freaking job, especially with a guy who hasn't played well since the 9th week of last season & got hurt in the mean time. I understand you want to stand by your man. But football at this level is a business, not a freaking charity. And the biggest complainers should have been observing this severe error in judgement by an otherwise pretty good football coach & called him on it months ago.
While he's at it, he needs to open up about eight or ten jobs on the defensive side of the ball also.
I'm not ready to jump ship, we still haven't played a conference game yet. Just like the last 3 years we lost to teams that were in bigger conferences, the only difference is the LaTU@R game. Those that don't want to come back to Cajun Field good bye, more room for me in the stands and less of a line at the beer stand and the bathrooms.

I really think Hud is keeping Broadway 'safe' by not running him on these non conference games. I think he's just focused on conference games.
So he p issed away the season for that. That was big of him.
Buck up! We are in the worst conference in America. Conference play starts next where bad is pretty good.
Getting killed behind the line of scrimmage isn't any safer. I seriously doubt they're limiting our attack to keep anyone safe. I'm already about to call this staff a bunch of mental midgets for orchestrating this defense. I'd hate to think they're also so stupid they're "saving Broadway". He's throwing like complete crap. And it isn't just these defenses we're facing causing that to happen. If TB's being "saved for th SBC"... we should have seen more of Haack. I think what you saw in these first 4 games is the best effort of personnel and schemes by this staff. And we got what we got.
I'm sure some fans, and our coaches, will believe we've "gotten better" when we beat an SBC team... but we will lose to at least 3 decent SBC teams this year with this defense and TB's funky arm and poor instincts. I believe, however, we will not alter this defense much... and we'll stick with TB until and unless he gets injured.
What is riding on this? If this season continues to go South try raising the money for Phase II of the Football Stadium remodel/expansion. The Conference stretch of our Schedule is absolutely critical for Hud and Co. to have a great recruiting year and raising money.......pray
A lot is riding on this, Coach. Our administration is riding the Hud hype pretty much exclusively. I just do not understand why this defense is operated like this. I can kind of understand the TB situation. He's struggling for sure... but the staff must think he's going to turn it around, and/or Haack just doesn't have it. Maybe the same stubborn limited coaching sense that is standing behind this defensive philosophy is standing behind a senior leader that won us a bowl game... all else be damned?
