For the first time in a long time, the baseball finally bounced the right way for UL.

After losing six in a row, largely due to inconsistencies in the field, at the plate and out of the bullpen, the Cajuns improved in those areas Sunday and held off Sun Belt Conference leader Western Kentucky, 6-5.

UL scored four unearned runs on two errors by the Hilltoppers in the series finale to avoid getting swept at home and put a positive spin on the start of the regular season's final week.
