The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will wrap up its non-conference schedule this week when it visits Mountain West Conference opponent Boise State on Saturday (Sept. 20) at Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho.
Kickoff is scheduled for 9:34 p.m. CT and will be televised on the CBS Sports Network with Carter Blackburn (pxp), Aaron Taylor (color) and Jamie Erdhal (sideline) handling the call. The game will also be aired on the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Radio Network with Jay Walker (pxp), Gerald Broussard (color) and Steve Peloquin (sideline) handling the call.
Louisiana (1-2) looks to snap a two-game losing streak after falling at No. 14 Ole Miss, 56-15, on Saturday. The Cajuns committed four turnovers, which led to 28 points by the Rebels.
The Ragin' Cajuns gained 322 yards of total offense against Ole Miss, including 193 on the ground - the most given up by the Rebels this season. Elijah McGuire (10 carries, 66 yards), Alonzo Harris (15-62, 1 TD) and Terrance Broadway (10-59) led a Ragin' Cajuns ground game that averaged 5.2 yards per carry against the nationally-ranked Rebels.
Trae Johnson, currently ranked seventh in the Sun Belt Conference in tackles, recorded a season-high 11 stops against Ole Miss with Sean Thomas and Kevin Fouquier adding seven each. Thomas added a second-quarter interception - the first takeaway of the season by the Ragin' Cajuns - which led to a Hunter Stover field goal in the final seconds of the first half.
McGuire (210 yards, 1 TD) and Harris (183 yards, 2 TDs) are eighth and 10th respectively among Sun Belt Conference players in rushing with Broadway ranked eighth in the league in passing (172.0 yards per game).
Boise State (2-1), under first-year coach Bryan Harsin, earned a 38-21 victory at UCONN on Saturday as the Broncos scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to pull away from a 24-21 lead. The Broncos scored a pair of defensive touchdowns, including a 50-yard interception return by Donte Deayon with 4:00 remaining to seal the win.
