FAU at bat leads USA 7-1 in the top of the 7th. USA had the bases loaded with two out in their half of the 6th inning but couldn't bring them in. Unless they can score six runs to tie the game Looks like FAU will be movng up to face the winner of WKU and USA who plays tomorrow at 12:30 PM in the losers bracket.

Definitely a "shocking" bracket there in Denton. I don't think anybody thought Troy would be done at this point, nor did anyone think UL would not be sitting pretty instead of FIU.

I think the Cajuns will handle ULM today in the first game, but I'm a little worried about the FIU game(s). FIU is pretty hot right now (12-5 since losing 9-0 and 8-0 to UL) and swinging the bats as well as anyone.

I know everyone was hoping to get immediate revenge on ULM, but the Cajuns would have been better off having ULM in FIU's position. I feel better about UL's chances of beating ULM twice than having to beat FIU twice at this point.

Come on Bunch, have some confidence here. And we're 16-4 since those two games. I really like our depth at pitching to get us through to Saturday.

Another jab for fun. I'm a little disappointed that our local paper isn't covering the softball conference tournament live and in person. I know money's tight and all. Maybe they're saving the cash to send someone to regionals. With a choice, I would prefer that.

Oh, I believe the team will beat ULM and FIU twice and still win the SBC Tournament. I'm just saying I would have liked their chances better if they had to beat ULM twice instead of FIU.

And don't think I'm not disappointed we're not covering the tournament live and in person. I'm trying my best to follow it through Stevie P's wonderful play-by-play and the gametracker. I may break down and pay the $9.95 for the video feed for the next four games.

And you guessed it right. We made a decision to save our money to send someone to regionals (as long as it's not a cross-country flight), Super Regionals and WCWS.
