Needed to be done and is logical progression. Personally, I thought he might take Trim's spot as he's been burned quite a bit thus far this year. Either way, it should be a drastic improvement.

Antionne Adkins should get more time. He tackled really well at the end of the game.

If Patt did so well last year at CB, why was he ever moved in the 1st place? Both players are going back to the positions that they played last year.

Patt is not a great corner but a decent safety. Aggressive and likes to tackle. He may be the next best up at CB because we have under recruited this position for many years now! I would like to see more of Adkins also, he looks athletic and tackled well.

As Boomer mentioned in a previous thread, we have signed alot of defensive backs in recent years, but have had a very high attrition rate among db's for whatever reason

Well, I'd rather a CB who can actually cover a receiver and defend the pass. Maybe Adkins can do this but we don't know and I'd rather put in a proven guy there before experimenting with a new face. I certainly don't have a problem inserting him into the game slowly but I don't want to see him relied upon so heavily at this point.

Because he's our best defensive back and we were thin at safety while the coaches felt we had guys who could play CB. He has been our best coverage guy the last couple of years. I know they are replacing Jones with Patt but personally, from what I've seen, I'd rather him replace Trim as he's gotten burned several times this year and for big plays.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this one.


I know Simeon Thomas is suspended this year. Are him and McCollum still on the team? They are both still showing on the roster.

Thomas is here on campus I believe and still on team but suspended. I think McCollum has left altogether.
