Thread: HEY BILLY.........

  1. I have a Question HEY BILLY.........

Ask coach Bab if Fuse will start next Sunday since he struggled? As of now are the Fri/Sat starters set in stone? Or was this because they Troy struggled against the 3/4 release point? Any new commits?

Just looking at the season so far, I don't think any position is set in stone, especially pitcher.

Are we looking at signing any catchers, or are we going to rely on Griffen, Guillory and Keefer for the next couple of years?

And maybe that is this team's problem. Tough to get in a rythm if you aren't given the chance to find your groove.

CC Sabathia got shelled his first two outing and he isn't headed to AAA. Got to stick it out with your pitchers and give them a chance to rebound.

I agree. My only complaint about Robe is that he benches hitters before they can get out of a slump. I'm surprised he has stuck with griffen as long as he has. He is starting to so signs that he is coming around. With a catcher that has been clocked in the ninetys while throwing to second, I'd stick with em'. That's my opinion. As Long as Will Long isn't at third, I'm happy.

I don't think you drop Fuse because of a really bad start. He hasn't been mind blowing but he hasn't usually killed us, besides yesterday.

Billy, ask if we'll see Wascom again this year.

With an arm like that, we sure could use some help on the mound.

I don't know what the problem is with our pitchers whether it be Robe is leaving them in too long, or that they aren't comfortable in the role they are asked to play or whatever it might be, our pitchers have been wildly inconsistent this season. Simple as that.

AMEN-- Robe is way too impatient with his pitchers and position players--That is by far his biggest weakness--Not only does he not allow his players to get in a groove but his players start to look over their shoulder thinking if they go 0-10 in a series or have a couple of bad outings they will be buried on the bench--You CANNOT get the most out of your players with that style of coaching(especially young players)--His second biggest weakness is that he NEVER communicates with his players--When I say NEVER I mean NEVER--That is not a good trait if you are a leader/manager/CEO-- Overall I think Robe is an above average coach but he is far from being a great coach with those two glaring weaknesses
