Thread: Future Lady Cajuns

Cajuns rpi currently 23 look for them to win out regular season and win conference tournament, go to lsu as a 3 seed (with an rpi around 20 mind you) and get things going and return to another super regional

heck, who knows what will happen. if cajuns can keep the winning streak going and lsu can back their way out of the SEC tournament cajuns could end up somewhere else as a 2 seed. i doubt lsu would host as a 3 although you never know with the new stadium and the way the NCAA works

How do you see them getting a 3 seed in a regional when they are at 23 right now? 2 seeds = 17-32 ranked teams; 3 seeds = 33-48 ranked. If we win out theres no way we are not a 2 seed at LSU. I know it depends because of the regionals that we go to but we'd have to be a #2

Smith and Ruston beat Airline 3-1 in the 5A finals. Teurlings (Bourgeois) beat Kaplan 2-0 and John Curtis (Bridges and Brignac) beat Menard 1-0.

Like CajunT said, the only one in that class to not win state was Orgeron, whose Mt. Carmel team lost to Airline in the quarters.

    Thanks. Had them reversed.

I know it seems too logical, but in reality that's not how the NCAA works. they have shown that in the past (SBC considered weak, etc.). I agree the cajuns should be a 2 seed, but that would mean lsu would have to be a 3 seed (their rpi is currently 19)? they are surely not a 1 seed at this point, unless they finish hot and win or go to the conference championship game

still some time, we will see what happens. wherever the cajuns go I hope its close enough for us fans to make it

LSU's resume is not great (loses to McNeese, Sam Houston State, and UAB) they are 10-11-1 against top 50 rpi
I think they would have to do some big things to get a 1 seed, they cant start with a sweep over auburn (33 rpi) this weekend

so far the Cajuns look good, they have a few close losses but none to teams lower than the top 100 rpi. they need to keep it that way by handling business this weekend.

OK I got you. I was thinking naturally of LSU as the 1 seed. It always stinks to be a 1 and travel, but that's very possible

LSU's resume is not that of a #1 seed. In fact, they will have to work hard to get the #2 seed, or they won't host a regional.

Yea and I didnt think it was, I just saw "Baton Rouge Regional" and automatically pictured the host as the #1.
