    A new video has leaked onto the web today demonstrating how the new Start Menu in Windows Threshold works on the desktop. The video comes from build 9834, which screenshots had leaked from earlier in the day. It appears in this build it is possible to use both Start Screen and Start Menu with the desktop, something which is said to be changing in the future.

  2. Default Upcoming Windows 9 Virtual Desktop Feature Shown In Video

    Following the screenshots leak,_a new_video showing the upcoming Start Menu in action got leaked on the web. Few hours back, another video on detailing the new Start Menu leaked, find it here. It was reported earlier that Microsoft is now building this virtual desktop feature into Windows 9 codenamed Threshold. Similar to Desktops app, you can activate the desktops with a button on the taskbar and there are keyboard shortcuts that let you jump between active desktops. This feature is now included in the leaked Windows Technical Preview Build 9834. As you can see in the video, you have a desktop switcher icon which will bring up a black bar in the bottom of the screen with all the active desktops shown in thumbnails. Even though Windows OS internally supported this feature for so long, Microsoft didn't make it as a consumer facing feature.   3. Default Windows 9 (Threshold) virtual desktop feature shown off on video


    A new video, coming from WinFuture.de has shown off the new virtual desktop feature coming in Windows 9 (Threshold). The video comes from build 9834, which is a very early pre-release build of the Windows Technical Preview coming later this month. As the build is so early, the virtual desktop feature itself is very basic. Animations aren't there and a few bugs are riddled throughout it.

  4. Default Windows 9 Notification Center Shown In Action (Video)

    Last week, Computerbase.de posted multiple screenshots of Windows 9 Technical Preview. The leaked screenshots has revealed number of upcoming features in Windows Threshold. First, you can see the new Start Menu which includes Live Tiles and other modern apps(Start Menu). Second, you can see the way to switch between multiple desktop environments(virtual desktops). Third, you have notifications center which can be accessed from taskbar. Fourth, you have their charms bar options in a new menu in the title bar of the app. Fifth, you can see Windowed modern apps. Sixth, you can notice the new flatter look for desktop UI elements. Today, a new video showing notification center in action was posted online, watch it above.   5. Default Notification center shown off in new Windows 9 (codename Threshold) video


    The latest Windows 9 build leak shows the much-anticipated notification center in action. The notification system that Windows 8/8.1 currently uses shows the notifications on the top right, but if you miss it, you are left wondering what in the world it was.
    The notification center solves this problem by putting a center for your notifications in right corner of the taskbar.
