A few days ago we added Safari push notifications for OS X to our site. That doesn’t mean you can’t use it if you don’t use Safari though. You’ll need Safari to activate your notifications but after that you can switch back to any other browser if you prefer. To get notifications activated navigate to_http://thenextweb.com/notifications_and click_the ‘Allow’ button on the browser pop-up. From that moment on, whenever a new post is published you’ll get a discreet banner in the top right of your monitor screen.
