As if the intensity between UL and LSU needed any additional fuel, both baseball teams have some added incentive to win the next meeting in the series.

The Cajuns beat then-No.3 ranked LSU, 10-9, on March 11 on Scott Hawkins' ninth-inning solo home run at the new Alex Box Stadium, but they have lost seven of their past eight games. That includes a six-game slide for UL (18-19-1) in Sun Belt Conference play.
