Blocking up front. Give TB some time in the pocket to hit these WRs. without throwing off his back foot or off his a-ss........

I agree more time will help.

It will help his primary reciever have more to get open but I have lost faith that in his Collegiate career Broadway will ever learn to check down to his second and third options.

The last two years I have gone into the season expecting him to improve on this and checking down when his first option (Robinson) isnt open and in my opinion there has been little to NO improvement.

If the coaches arent willing to throw the ball down the field I am starting to think the zone read may be the Cajuns' best option at getting the offense moving again.

I just checked the stats. 2012 (not a full season), he accounted for a little less than 20% of our total net rushing yards (keep in mind that sacks are rushing yard losses) and 24% of our rushing TDs. 2013 he accounted for almost 35% of both net rushing yards and rushing TDs. That's a major part of our rushing offense to just remove from our game plan. You let him run and the LBs and DBs have to respect that and that's how we can get deep with the passing game.

There really isn't this big excuse to "over protect" TB. He isn't effective unless he's a run threat. I know he got little protection from our OL, but TB is worrying me that his throwing abilities are reduced. On the other hand, Haack is a year older and although he's not a plug and play backup to TB, we shouldn't keep TB from legging it. I'm not sure if the read option is the route or not. I still, however, cannot believe how completely inept we were this past week.

Ole Miss just simply isn't what the doctor ordered for this kind of "we need to bounce back" week. I cannot get my head wrapped around "we just need to execute and win the turnover battle" and "we need to play like we're going to the electric chair" as the solution to what I saw this past Saturday. We shall see.

We have guys who are just as talented, but different styles. Butler has the surest hands since Fred Stamps. Devin Scott is the fastest WR since Troy Tauriac. Robinson is a freak like Brandon Marshall. Jared Johnson is like Green just not used as much. Fusilier is close to Stokley, not as good but close.

The point is we have very talented WRs we just do not utilize them like we should. Is that play calling or are we limited due to blocking or shortcomings at QB. That is the answer that none of us know.

----I can't help but compare Fuse to the Taylor kid for TECH---their HS videos looked so much alike---He made some good catches for Tech Saturday!!!
