    True, but i've been to an SMU game and have season tickets to UL. Lafayette is much more energetic and supportive of a town towards their university. Dallas is too big with too many attractions to have all resources devoted to one university. Cowboys are the kings of football in north Texas. Personally, I don't think it is that attractive of a job. The only way they had success was from cheating in the 80's & the Mustangs are still suffering from the death penalty to this day.

    They went the older route with Jones. They will likely go for a young coordinator with Texas ties.

    I think Coker's got it made at UTSA and they look really competitive so far this year.

    larry it is "said" or "read" on a bathroom wall (winks) called la tech in 1999 and asked to interview for their head coaching position.. the AD at the time questioned "why" would you want to do that..

    How about Many Diaz at UL next year? Isn't he a close friend of Hud? While we are at it, how about a new OC who actually has a creative bone in his body and can create some semblance of a downfield passing game?
