The Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns men’s tennis team is playing some of their best tennis at the right time. The Cajuns have won three matches in a row, including a victory over #74 Denver. This comes at a perfect time as the Cajuns are preparing to open up conference tournament play Thursday in Denton, Texas for the Sun Belt Championships.

The Cajuns have been pretty consistent all season racking up 15 victories in 21 matches. UL has been lead all season by a fierce three headed monster in Piotr Banas, Javier Pulgar and Arlen Domoney. The three have racked up a record of 44-10 on the team in singles matches.

The Cajuns have a total of five players with double-digit singles victories. The other Cajuns with at least 10 wins are Yanick Mandl 12-5 and Neil Schneider 10-7.

The Cajuns are seeded third in the tournament. The Cajuns will take on UNO in the first round. The seeding is based on national rankings by ITA.com. The match will begin at 11:30 a.m. of Friday morning.

The Cajuns beat UNO 6-1 earlier in the season, when the Privateers were ranked 75 in the nation. If the Cajuns prevail they will face the winner of the Troy and FAU match.

Daily updates will be made to the website as results come in.
