Gates to the Swamp ( SwampGate Project )

Got with Gerald and his list as of this past Friday had 3-board members putting up each $200.00 and 9 others putting up each $100.00 totaling $1,500.00!!

Gerald was impressed that we did this on the internet!! I told him that I thought that after the holidays and once TAX returns are in route that we should see more monies flow in!!! We are to meet again soon and may come up with a dead line, in that a date is needed to get the monies in so that construction can begin and GATEWAYS sold to advertisers($50,000 to be raised per year for football recruiting) remember what we did with an additional $33,000(#50 in the Nation/Rivals.com)



If someone could make a graph for amount raised and goal to be raised which could be updated would be sweet!!

I read where on the Delphi board we had over 500 members, I do not know how many we have here, BUT I thought with those numbers we should easily get to the $6500 total.!!!!

Heres hoping come January WE will raise the monies needed to compelete the "Swamp Gate Project" How nice WILL it be to KNOW that YOU were and INTERGRAL part of something that will be a part of RAGIN CAJUN FOOTBALL and UL for MANY YEARS to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am new to this forum, but I am a UL alumni and a huge Cajun Football fan. I'm not sure what the Swamp Gate is. Can someone explain?

This is a project we are calling "The Swamp Gate Project"!! It will complete gates 3 & 4 on the students side of the field. This will allow Gerald Hebert to raise some $50,000 annually for Football Recruiting!! Last years recruiting class was ranked #50 in the country by Rivals.com, this with only $33,000 in addition to the regular budgeted monies from the University!! Some private Jets were also donated!!

I spoke with Gerald Hebert and He told me that if we raise the $6500, he has other monies to put in and we can complete these gateways.
