    Oldman,

I'll be at Pete's Thursday night & just about the whole time at the workdays. I'm not sure if I've met you yet, but I would like to. I'll probably be working on the wall or moving stuff around on a blue Yamaha 4-wheeler. Hey, Cajuns got to socialize too....

    Update to come,
    DaddyCajun!!!!

See ALL of you at the game!! BEAT NSU!!!!
This was a year ago, I sent in money before that. Was Dan Hare pulling your leg or what? I'm ready to see my gates, this has gone on long enough, football season is almost here and no gates.

I can answer this question. In September 2004 a group of Delphi posters raised $1050 and representatives of the UL Alumni Assn. matched it. However, it was not enough to fully construct another gate at that time.

For a current status report, I defer to DaddyCajun. Know that he has been busting his tail bone on this and many other UL Athletics projects.

I'm in the same boat as Oldman....so, I'll definitely be sweating this weekend!! Recent graduate with no "real" job, so I can't wait! In fact, I think we should do this more often!!

Oldman, RedBug, DaddyCajun, Turbine....You all have been great! (plus others I've met at Pete's but don't know your screen name) I never realized that there are so many die-hards like me! I'm a bit younger, so you guys have given me great inspiration!! I want to give back to my school anyway I can!!

That is right, no meeting at Pete's, however those in charge of Tennis, Baseball, Track, and Football will meet at Geralds office @ 5p.m. Thursday!!

A friend of Louisiana Athletics just donated a $9,000+ pressurewasher/steamer to the University. He and another Friend of the University will complete the SWAMPGATE PROJECT!!!!

Ragin' Cajuns Swamp Gate Project To Be Completed!!

It has been a long traveled journey to complete the "SWAMP GATE PROJECT," at Cajun Field!!! Thanks to ALL the DELPHI and RAGIN PAGIN donors, ALUMNI BOARD MEMBERS, and SGA OFFICIALS that donated to the project!!! A couple of UL Graduate Gentlemen will chime in with their financial donations to complete the monies needed to finish the project. A final total for the project is being waited on and is expected any day now.

The fence material will be that of the same material as Tennis and Baseball and Softball!! This material will be placed elsewhere on the Athletic campus as monies will provide it. It is made of alluminum and is very low maintenance.

Thanks for EVERYONES SUPPORT, this project will be complete prior to the first 2005 home game!!!

    SEE YA AT VOLUNTEER WEEKEND,
    DADDY CAJUN

What ever happened to the Swamp Gates? I am sorry but if I had donated to that project I would be a little upset right now. There have been people dedicated to the Swamp Gate project for 2 years now and still no results. Meanwhile over the course of 1 week they are able to build 5 other gates around Cajun Field with NO fundraising.

I'm glad to see that these gates were put up but after seeing this I am very disappointed to see that they haven't put up the other two swamp gates yet.

don't blame the participating State Farm Agents---The money is there--I still need to get a list of those agents--Oh one is Terri Landry in Aville---It was a tough day after the weeks of NO folks with Katrina!!!!Great arond the office to hear people pronounce words correctly!!! no not blaming the agents. I am just sad that so much money and effort has been put into the swamp gates and there is nothing to show for it.
