All I know is that when Fuselier got to his room at 5:00 or so Thursday morning, he said that had been the hardest practice he had ever been through.
I also heard that Coach Robe said in his team meeting that if 4 or 5 of the players quit, so be it!
Good for Robe. I really like the discipline. I would like to see more of it from him. Fortunately, I don't think he has had to do it that much in the past becuase he has had guys on prior teams that would take matters into their own hands. He made one very telling statement after the Southeastern game. He said (and I'm paraphrasing), "This is what happens when you are SOFT." This years team and last years team looked as though they had no tough, hardnosed leaders. We need to get back to that style of play. I'm not saying we need to have bench clearing brawls, but teams in the past, like the ones in the 90's and the CWS team, had swagger and weren't afraid to let you know what they thought.
