As long as we keep playing that defensive scheme QBs will look awesome and those receivers will be wide open. But hey, they did not get behind us. They score that TD in front of our defenders. Coach thing, not a player thing.

What did Hud say in his post game interview?

"It's on me, I didn't prepare the team well enough". Thats also what he said last year after losing to USA and ULmost.

And Ark St and every other non-conference ___ whipping, and with exception of the bowl games, every other big game we've been outclassed in.

The sad truth is that this team is 2-3 in it's last 5 games and one of the wins was a nail biter where if Tulane had started the 2nd string QB, they probably would have won. I'ts a tough pill to swallow, but South Alabama exposed us last year and everyone will follow that template.

The template has been there since New Mexico State last season. Our zone D has been picked apart since that game.

DBs: Same problem as last year.......we are extremely vulnerable up the middle.
    RBs: Still Dominating.....
    That is spot on!!!

I know a dozen or so of the regulars will chime in and dismiss me again....This thread will probably be sidelined.....but if we are honest with ourselves, we may be a tad bit overrated.

Playing like we are now, we will be 1-3 the by the time conference rolls around......

In defense of the Cajuns last night, however little it may be... Manny Diaz (DC from LTU) is one of the best out there. He will be at a bigger school next yr.
** down side is Willis (DC at UL) is horrible and will not move to a bigger school.

I never thought our sheer talent would get that dominated by "a Tech". I've always been suspicious of our Xs and Os coaching. The defensive coaching is the absolute worst. And our line coaching, both sides, is pathetic. We got to a certain level (and flat-lined at that point) by Hud's hype. He's got the best hype in this business. What he doesn't seem to have is technical coaching skills. And his staff doesn't either. We have some extremely good athletes that still have high school abilities. No one knows what to do to either shed blocks and tackle on defense. And no WRs know how to run a route or how to get separation. The schemes we run don't baffle a child.

If the Southern game was our "vanilla" system, and this game was our "rocky road"... our coaches don't know how to make ice cream. They only recruit good milk, eggs and sugar... put it all in a blender... and yell hype at it.

Well 2 questions...why are our WR's never open and never catch the ball in space but every team we face has a guy open on every down.
If by any chance you recorded the game, watch the receivers routes, they are rounded off and sloppy, Butler (one of our 2 best receivers) didn't even get a pass thrown his direction.....He didn't have a single touch....just terrible

I usually rewatch every game. I can't stomach watching this game again. Maybe in a few days but not today.

Are you talking about the true freshman who was our leading reciever last night? That one? From what I saw last night it may be time to give more young guys some shots.
