  1. UL Football What we learned from spring drills for UL football


     Back on March 11, UL opened spring football practice facing its share of questions and challenges in preparation for the 2009 season.

    The Cajuns finally wrapped up 15 days of work on April 4 with their annual spring game, a 27-26 come-from-behind victory for the offense over the defense.

    Some of those questions were answered in the spring. Others won't be until fall camp.

    In a final wrap-up following spring drills, here's a list of five things we learned about UL going into next fall.

    Great recap. However, Zanders is the starter on the strong side, not the middle

    Zanders was in the middle in the spring after playing there for the last half of 2008.

    Which we all know he is not "returning" at middle rather he was substituting while Richard Brooks gets healthy. Come fall, he will "start" on strong side.
