_ Van Cleave gets a bad rap because he played for an idiot. He is the only 230 lb white quarterback that runs about a 5 flat in the forty running the option at that time. He had no business running such stupid plays. When you put the ball in his hands and allowed him to open it up, he played well at times. I hated him at first but then I realized that the coaches brought him down. _
