Nothing LESS than 2 wins this weekend should be on the CAJUNS' minds right now!!!

Southern's coach looks like a boss pimp.

Southern reminded me of a high school team tonight. Colorful shoe strings, running to the wall every inning, and their coach running in the middle of the field on that ground rule double.

It was nice to see us win tonight for more than 1 reason, we extended our winning streak to 7 and we proved that we could win in more ways than just out slugging someone.

With that said, can we PLEEEAAASEE give Bulliard a mid week start. The kid has been nails every time that he's been in the game, and if he can pitch as effectively as a starter has he has out of the pen the few times they've used him, he very well could be our missing piece on the weekend.

With all of that said, our resume is starting to look like the type of resume needed to get into the tourney. We're not there yet, but taking care of business for the rest of the year could very well land us in a prime position.

We're 4-1 against RPI top 50 and 1-0 against RPI top 25. It looks a little worse when you peel it back and see that we're 9-10-1 against the rpi top 100, but the reason I say that we're in good shape is that we have 3 at troy (RPI 89), 1 at southeastern LA (RPI 42) 3 at home against Western Kentucky (RPI 41), 3 at East Carolina (RPI 35), 1 at LSU (RPI 9), and 1 at Rice (RPI 7). Thats 12 of our last 24, 50% of the rest of our schedule are potential RPI boosts and resume enhancers.

I know that its early so all I'm trying to say is that all of our goals are still in front of us. If week keep hitting, anything is possible for us.

I'm pretty sure that the 3rd game of the Arkansas St. series was Randall's last outing. He came in during the 10th inning walked the first batter and eventually let the winning run come home on a wild pitch.

It was at this point that he was chained up in Tony's backyard with his Labrador. With last nights performance maybe Randall is now out of the doghouse and will get the shot your talking about. I would also like to see him get a start and do something good with it.

Matt Lackie looked pretty good to me last night.

I thought he was good but not great. If Southern had any clutch hitting, we may have lost as they threatened almost each inning because of Lackie's ability to walk batters.

Bulliard has been clutch every time he has pitched except for that AState game mentioned above. He just hasnt pitched much.

Robe calls that bending but not breaking. He's used that to describe some very successful guys. He's had a tough season so far but last night was a step in the right direction, imo. Good job Matt!!

I agree to a certain extent, but he really bent against an average to good team. I wouldnt start him against LSU or Rice, but he can definitely go in some of the next few midweek games.
