Here are a few other options that would be good for pregame

Blue Dog Cafe (not named after your buddy-kind of touristy as well though) http://www.bluedogcafe.com/
    French Press http://www.thefrenchpresslafayette.com/ , Johnson's Boucaniere http://johnsonsboucaniere.com/
    Old Tyme Grocery http://www.oldetymegrocery.com/

All are in close proximity to the stadium

What he said. Especially the French Press. Be prepared to wait though.

Very much appreciate the suggestions! We're going to consider all options. Also plan to get to the stadium early and check the scene out.

    Boxerdog,

I'd like to invite you and any other dogs that may be wandering through the tailgating area's around Cajun Field to come by and vist us at the Krewe de Chew. We are located behind the maintenance shed across from the baseball field. Y'all will be welcomed and have a good time. For a better idea of where we are located, check out our website at www.krewedechew.net

Looking forward to meeting you in person.

Thanks Duggie! I'll be with my wife and 2 buddies. We'll drop by and say "hi".

Bon temp is good but for seafood try fezzos on i10 in Scott or poor-boys riverside inn in Broussard. Fezzos will be the easiest for you to find and is in close proximity to the stadium (less than ten minutes). I suggest the blackened snapper with grilled/blackened vegetables. Of course gumbo, fried fish, and seafood platter are all great choices

    This!

I will take La Pagua over any Mexican restaraunt in town, and honestly it's one of my favorite restaraunts anywhere. Everyone I tell to go there always is not a fan, but I have gained knowledge of what they order and they might as well just go to Taco Bell. I challenge any of you to go there and order either the tacos al carbon or tacos al pastor and tell me you think it's gross. It's not gonna happen, they are unbeleivable. Y'all can thank me later!

Haven't tried that yet, I need to get over there. I've heard nothing but good about it.

Whatever you order, it will be ready at about the same time you finish your first basket of chips. They don't play around at los mayas
