I was also thinking this, but tourists do seem to like it.
Here are a few other options that would be good for pregame
Blue Dog Cafe (not named after your buddy-kind of touristy as well though) http://www.bluedogcafe.com/
French Press http://www.thefrenchpresslafayette.com/ , Johnson's Boucaniere http://johnsonsboucaniere.com/
Old Tyme Grocery http://www.oldetymegrocery.com/
All are in close proximity to the stadium
this would be my choice in lafayette. It's a lot closer also... that or, Riverside inn.. check em both out. http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/190/1018...Cafe-Lafayette
heres a link. I used to work here in highschool. High quality food. http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/190/1018...-Inn-Broussard
definitely try and get a shrimp poboy from Ole tyme grocery. you could probably split one three ways. lol...
I think Riverside Inn has the most consistently good seafood in Lafayette. It's somewhat hidden off of Hwy 90, but if you find it, it's worth it.
