Murfreesboro, Tenn. - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team took home third place in the Sun Belt Shootout, Saturday afternoon in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The Cajuns beat #74 Denver 4-3 to bring home a third place finish. The Cajuns are now 2-3 verse ranked opponents on the year.
The Cajuns once again dropped the doubles' point but won four singles matches to win the match.
The Cajuns got singles wins from Piotr Banas (6-3, 6-7, 6-2), Javier Pulgar (6-2, 6-3), Arlen Domoney (7-6, 6-7, 6-4) and Yanick Mandl (7-5, 6-0).
The Cajuns will play again next weekend when they face Lamar April 10 in Beaumont, Texas and Texas-Arlington Sunday, April 11 at Cajun Courts. The match against Texas-Arlington will be the regular season and home finale for the Cajuns.
