Thread: Wilburn on sat.

  1. This is a GREAT IDEA Wilburn on sat.

It appears wilburn will be starting on sat. Question is can anyone step up to carry the load on sunday. There is a part of me that likes the move of having Wilburn on Sat., but another part says "If it aint broke, don't fix it". Regardless someone nedds to step up. I say give Osbourne another shot. Who else Yall think should get Sun? Let me know.

I don't like the move for a few reasons. First off, if we're going to move Wilburn anywhere, it should be friday. Friday game's are tone setters for the weekend. Second, I say give Zach another shot on Saturday, and I have a quick hook if he gets in trouble. Wagley looked great his last 2 outings; have him ready to go if Osborne runs into trouble.

Fuse, Osborne, Wilburn - that would be my weekend staff.

Fuse would be my Sunday starter, if I just had to move wilborn. I would have Wilborn, Robe, Fuse. I would like to see Robe stretched out as a starter. He is one of our better arms and would be more of a benefit as a starter. I would flip flop he and osborne. I would make Osborne the Closer and Robe a starter.

Good point Im with ya. Man I'd almost like to see Wagley maybe even get a start. He looked very sharp his last time out.

only problem with that is, if you've noticed, after he has an extended outing, his stuff is not as lively his next appearance. But Doogie has looked really good. I think he'll get some innings this weekend.

  6. I have a Question Re: Wilburn on sat.

Go to "user CP" at the top toolbar, and on your left, you can edit your profile. Click "edit signature" and type whatever you want there.

What about Harmon as the closer? And Wags pitched lights out the other night...

My only problem with dat is harmon has been so inconsistent. It seems like sometimes he is in the penthouse, and other times the out house. But 3/4 of the bullpen has been like that. So u never know.

Harmon is having his most consistent year of his career. He's been up and down, but this year, he's been stable coming out of the pen. I don't think he's a starter though. He's even said that he's more comfortable coming out of the pen.

I believe that the plan is for Wilborn to move to Fri. But he threw 130 pitches last Sunday and Robe didn't want to move him right to Friday. So it's Saturday this week and if he pitches like he has the last two outings, he'll move to Friday against ULM.
