There are two Preview Days this Fall, Oct. 18 and Nov. 8. Out of state students have attended in the past, just call the Office of Admissions and Undergraduate Recruiting at 337-482-6467 to register and/or to get more information for campus tours and such.

Nothing like being an Honors graduate from the top engineering school in the state.

Have him continue working on that ACT and GPA. There are numerous engineering scholarships available.
Thanks for the info!! Being a senior he doesn't have much time to get his GPA much higher but every A helps!!

Thank you all for the information. It has helped me also. My son is a senior and is interested in chemical engineering, of course interest could change. I'm trying to let him decide to come to school locally VS going to a school that has the wrong school colors. I'll support him I'm his decision, but can't pull for anyone other than vermilion red. Thing is he has no interest in sports, bummer. Again, thanks.

Yea, but in fact he may have a lot of interest later in life. I knew guys like that, no interest at all in college sports or anything else, my first manager was a fisherman who went to USL and was from Cotton Port, never could figure him out, but he was a very nice guy.

Contact Zappi. He will give your son good advice. I have taken a number of high school seniors considering engineering to talk to him. He always gives them straight advice on engineering curriculum. He never puts down other schools including the one to the east.
