Thats really cool.
Take a look at a proposal I'm developing for an English class I'm taking. It address problems I've found with UL and Lafayette.
Firstly, that our main city park, Girard, is too small for the ever growing population of Lafayette. Girard was built when the population of Lafayette was maybe a fourth its size now, and can't accommodate the population now, it's always very crowded.
Secondly, UL has only about 137 acres on its main campus, much smaller than other comparable schools. (Southeastern has a comparable student and faculty body to us, and has 365 acres, almost 3 times the space, on their main campus!) We have very cramped buildings, and this addresses what we could do in order to gain more land on the main campus.
Thirdly, the horse farm is in the middle of Lafayette being un-utilized. The public sentiment in Lafayette is that the horse farm should stay a green space, and this address what we could do with it to keep it green.
If you have Facebook, please join and let me know what you think, what the problems are, anything so I can develop this thing into a good proposal and make a good grade in my English class. If you don't have FB, let me know on here, either in this post, or you can pm me on here or email me with anything you'd want to share, my email is jpc1972@louisiana.edu. Thank you!!
