Hey man. No motive here other than to say that he should tap the brakes in my opinion. What I have never ever done was make a disparaging remark about his son. Never. My only issue with Kyle is that he wears rose colored glasses. II had the same pride in my child that he has in his in regards to their athletic achievements. I have been where he is now at with his son as to the recruiting process. I just don't understand why he thinks that he needs to boast so much. In my opinion, do it in private or within your circle of friends. But if you choose to do it on a public forum and you let them as moderator of the forum, then you should also let the rebuttals stand. I am all for editing spiteful and derogatory responses especially when it is in regards to a child. But telling a dad to take a chill pill doesn't seem to be any cause for edits. In regards to your comment about my number of posts, what are you trying to insinuate with that? Maybe I am just selective in regards to the threads that I choose to respond to.

Congrats Kyle, I really didn't know about Kyle's son until last season, it's not like he was on here bragging all the time, be proud of him, his playing will take care of the rest!!!!

I'm sure the kid is really good and BWK is rightfully a proud dad but did anyone feel as they were reading that it was a story from The Onion? I mean hyperbole much?

-----Oh the great saga of recruiting-----From watching older kids being recruited, to being recruited (not much)---from seeing who was being recruited while playing---to watching HS kids I coached being recruited---to recruiting in Texas, New Mexico, MIss, LC, and NO and doing the home base-----What great mistakes were made and what great choices were extended!!! Cajun T will every now and then mention a name a say "we missed on him"---Hey that is life and just look at the list of this programs failures but PLEASE don't forget the great finds---so many variables that I can say this staff has done pretty damn good!!!

Watching the Schofield kid and Badie kid play last night would make me say we missed them...but we are in a pretty good place without them. That is the crux of recruiting...there is a finite amount of space...and everyone is jockeying for that last musical chair. No one wants to be left standing once the music stops. I wish Kyle and his son good luck where ever he ends up. But seriously...Wake Forest could use offensive lineman.

I dont think we missed them, they missed us. We recruited Scofield and Badie pretty hard, they chose Tulane, that is there loss.

We got ELI at RB and Patt and TJ Worthy at Safety. It worked out pretty well for us. I am sure we would like to have gotten these guys, but recruiting is a two way street, not only do you want them, but they have to want you. Their loss. Scofield could have had multiple bowl championships if they would have come here, instead of back to back losses to the Cajuns.

It is one thing to be proud of your son's accomplishments but it is another to be an a-hole about it. And you fit the latter. I admit that I have never seen your son play a down of football. The "best offensive tackle in the state" you say? Not according to the experts who gauge high school talent for a living. It might be time to tap the brakes with that kind of talk and come back to reality. Have you ever given any thought to how your boaPleasel postings are hurting your son? You are the type of parent that most coaches hate to have associated with their program. I speak with some authority on this issue because I have a child who went through the recruiting process with various D-1 programs. Coaches are very cognizant of parental behavior. Going on message boards touting the greatness of your child will only make the pain hurt even more when he doesn't receive that scholarship offer that you are guaranteeing that he will receive. How about trying the humble route and see how that works.
That's fine. Any coach who's afraid of a 6' 5" 295 pound man who can run a sub 5.0 in the 40, bench press 325 pounds, dunk a basketball, do a full split, and completely dominate a whole side of a line of scrimmage on either side of the ball. That means offense & defense, all the while making a 3 plus GPA while taking advanced math, physics, EnglishIV, & chemistry II doesn't deserve him. I appreciate your contribution. Why don't you share your recruiting experiences with us? Tell us who your son is, and how successful you were at getting him that major college scholarship? I'd appreciate some specifics & how it worked out for you.

PS I'm stroked football is upon us. Footballs look like two big titties back to back.
That's more like it. You're starting to round into mid season form now. Why do I feel like I just made a subliminally underhanded breast remark?

Kyle, I understand the pride that comes a ong with having a Baller for a son.. But man.. Shut the bleep up about it sometimes.. We get it, you believe the kid can play. Great for the fam.

Now, BWK Jr, I wish nothing but health and success. And a nugget of advice, though unsolicited; being likeable goes a long way in life.
Here's what you don't get. If it were your son instead of my son, I would be all over BJ & guys like that probably twice as hard, asking publicly has anyone seen this kid play? I mean he can play. He is turning into a totally dominating player. He's in the category of Justin Hamilton right now. He may even be better. But when you're dealing people who have a predetermined mind set based on where someone goes to school. Then they are begging to lose out on a potential pool of talent that could potentially make the difference in you going to a Boise State one day & kicking their asses like you should, or not. And I'm telling folks now, someone's loss is gonna be someone else's gain. That's a fact. Whether it's my kid, your kid, or the kid down the road. LSU, due to their unlimited talent pool of player's begging to run out before 100,000 people & play on national television every week, can afford to make 20 or 30 recruiting mishaps a year. Not everyone is in that position. But maybe UL is now in the cat bird's seat also. I mean I am still reaching out to them. Hence the thread. As far as worrying about what you or reality check think, I'll give two cents about that just as soon as you are man enough to state your names, & places you live for the record. For all I know reality check is some leftover Miss. St. fan just wanting stir the pot.
