SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Louisiana Ragin' Cajun men's tennis team extended their winning streak to seven straight matches here Friday afternoon at the UTSA Tennis Center, defeating DePaul 4-3.

The Ragin’ Cajuns (10-4) entered the singles portion with a 1-0 disadvantage after DePaul (13-8) claimed all three doubles matches.

The Cajuns stepped it up in the singles, winning four out of the six matches, to take the dual match and preserve the win streak which dates back to March 8.
After dropping the No. 1 singles, Louisiana picked up victories at Nos. 2, 3 and 4 to gain momentum.
At the No. 2 singles slot, UL’s Javier Pulgar defeated DePaul’s Jose Moncada 6-3, 6-2. Pulgar improved to 12-1 this season and extended his personal win streak to eight straight.

Piotr Olechowski rallied to defeat DePaul's Alasdair Graetz 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 3 singles match. Neil Schneider collected a 6-3, 5-7, 6-1 win over DePaul's Bartosz Jozwiak at No. 4 singles. Yanick Mandl defeated DePaul's Juan Munoz 6-1, 6-1.

DePaul's Austin Doerner defeated UL's Piotr Banas 6-1, 5-7, 6-4. The loss was only the second this season for Banas and ended his eight-match win streak.
Another Cajuns player had his personal win streak halted as Ben Hartman grabbed a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 victory over Arlen Domoney. Domoney came into the match with a six-match win streak.

The Cajuns continue their Texas weekend trip as they remain in San Antonio to take on Texas-San Antonio, Saturday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m., and then finish their trip on Sunday, March 29 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
