There's no way only 25k were there. I was there and there is NO WAY that's the number.

    I'm a pretty good winner.
    I'm a terrible loser.
And I rub it in pretty good when I win.

I agree! What was the total number?

I heard 25k plus. Anything less than 35 is embarrassing. I thought there were more. My guess would have been 29-32k.
Bad loss but from a purely football perspective not the end of the world. I saw one team play lights out for 3 quarters and get a couple of breaks. My worry is how we (players & coaches) didn't seem to have a clue as to how to stop the bleeding. We will know more after ole miss and boise.

If there were 25K there, that means that if you placed everyone in the North endzone in a seat, only 2/3 of the seats would be filled.

I couldn't see the upper deck from my seat, but it looked like way more than 2/3 of the seats were filled even without the endzone folks.

For what it's worth, I thought last week's count seemed accurate.

Everyone I spoke to guessed 30k. Considering most of those folks have not missed a game in 20 years, and I'm fairly accurate with my guesses usually, I feel good about saying there is now way 25k is the number.

Today's Advocate listed the attendance of the UL/LaTech game at 25,607. If it makes anyone feel better, the Advocate listed the attendance for the ULM/Idaho game in Monroe at 16,694. The attendance for the Tulane/Georgia Tech game was listed at 30,000, which Tulane probably inflated by at least 50%.

Coming up Coming off what many deemed to be one of the worst performances in the Mark Hudspeth era, the Cajuns (1-1) go on the road to play what will likely be their toughest opponent of the year in No. 14 Ole Miss (2-0). The Rebels have gotten off to ...

That number should open the eyes of even the biggest optimist out there. We're a decent G5 program in what most consider to be the worst G5 conference out there. You'll have to forgive me, but I can't stomach any more talk of us passing anybody by any more.
Why did the attendance not pan out? I thought more than 42,000 were anticipated.

I had to ask the guy to scan my ticket again because it didn't beep the first time. The people at the gate scanning tickets DO NOT CARE! He gave me a puzzled look that changed to a look of aggravation. "Really?"
