After spending seventeen years hiring engineers trust me they aren't better and I'm not trying to flame. They just aren't that good. In 90' I had a friend who was a UL grad who got a teaching grad at Tech. He quit a few years later because he go tired of being pressured to pass kids in the graduate program so they could keep their status. He told me at the time that he was being asked to pass kids in a Master's program that couldn't get out of UL's bachelors program.
Ha! Your survey is ripe for misinterpretation. And again, salary surveys that do not include cost of living, are irrelevant. What Tech grads, by discipline, make more money than equivalent UL grads? If you compare similar degrees, and cost of living of the career location... I guarantee you Tech gets taken down many notches. I don't recall ever participating in a survey on salary and haven't met a UL contemporary that has. That alone makes the survey a pile of BS.
Plus, we all know Tech people exaggerate. So, if it was done without verifying the results, you have to use the "blue tarp rule" and remove 20% from the Tech salaries being reported.
UL is notorious for under-reporting on figures that are flattering. We had a football game where our admin admitted the ticket counters stopped counting, but instead of estimating up, we chose to just use the number counted. Hell, the state tried to give us another L in our name. We told them we only needed one. Keep the other one for someone else who needs it. That's the way we roll. You guys lie and exaggerate.
Your debate is with US News and World Reports. Perhaps you should write them a letter with your concerns?
Whats wrong? You scared to read the rest of that list I posted? I've sent you my list how about you send me your list on all the great things about Ruston? Your brother dog was the one that posted about Ruston being a college town. I just gave him some points to ponder. I'm listening so go ahead and defend "Ruston-THE College Town". LOL
We call you stump-jumpers LaNeck.. It's a play on words.. Do you guys understand that kinda humor in Arkansas, or...
