UL - The Cajundome is preparing to ask the Lafayette City-Parish Council for up to $250,000 to carry the arena through lean economic times.
“It will be the first time in the Cajundome’s 23-year history that something like this has happened,” Cajundome Director Greg Davis said Monday.
Lafayette and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette operate the Cajundome under a joint agreement. The city already offers an annual subsidy of up to $500,000 for the facility’s roughly $5 million annual budget.
