My flight was cancelled and delayed twice yesterday so I took some time to ride around campus to see how the cleaning/upkeep was coming along. Let me tell you, I was in for a surprise. I had not been on campus in a few months and it looks amazing.
Signage:
All buildings now have new signs on them which is something that we passed in SGA when I was there in 2005. Good to see it come through! The buildings of old either had signs you couldn't read, or the letters were falling off. These look GREAT
Pressure Washing:
Almost all the buildings have been pressure washed now and my God even Griffen Hall looks almost new. I honestly could not believe what I saw. Remember the mold growing on the front of Angelle Hall? Gone. That place looks like a new building. The Chemestry building? Clean. The library? Wow, just wow. They even cleaned the Union. I wish I were in school now because this campus is getting to be in tip top shape.
Paved Roads:
Not only St. Mary, but McKinley is also newly paved now. Very nice.
Alumni Building:
Not enough can be said about the improvements here. Just drive around it and you will see what I am talking about.
I wish I hda pictures to show all of you. This is a great time to get excited about the future of this school. Even when athletics are stressful.
