    Default Baseball This week

The Cajuns sweep this weekend got us above .500 and also boosted us up to the #4 spot in conference play.

On the road against Houston tomorrow night. Houston hasn't played very good ball this year but did manage to take 2 of 3 from UAB over the weekend. Hopefully the 50% chance of rain tomorrow doesn't interfere with this game. The Cajuns need to get some work in for a few pitchers and see if they can keep the momentum up.

This weekend is huge. FIU is currently third in the league standings at 4-2. We desperately need to take this series and move into the third spot. No easy task in Miami.

The league leading pillpoppers are out of conference this weekend and return to conference play the following weekend against FIU. Middle Tennessee is at UALR this weekend. Hopefully UALR can get things together at home against the Blue Raiders. The following weekend we are at MT.

MT & WKU are currently running away with the conference (both 8-1) and if someone doesn't put the brakes on them quickly the rest of the pack will be out of the race. These two teams don't see each other until the middle of May so its up to someone else to put the brakes on them until they get a chance to beat up on each other for a few days.

Yes u are correct. MT and WKU have seperated themselves from most of the pack early on. The good thing is that we have both of them at home this year. I just hope that we can do enough dammage control in the next few weeks for those games to mean something when we play them later in the year.

I doubt UALR will get any practice time in this weekend. The coaches are probably still busy verbally berating them.

I felt bad for that pitcher yesterday when Coach #9 went to the mound to yell at him in front of 2,300 fans. Pretty lame.

Also around the 5th or 6th inning I saw coach #9 and #34 walk over to the pen and wave his arms and such then started walking back to the dugout and started pointing to the Cajun cooking club, anybody know what that was all about?
