Birmingham, Ala. – Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns men’s tennis team extended their win streak to five Saturday afternoon with their second straight win in Birmingham, Ala. A day after beating Samford the Cajuns were able to dispose of the UAB Blazers 4-3.

The Cajuns were able to come back after dropping the doubles point by winning four out the six singles matches.

The Cajuns Piotr Banas and Piotr Olechowski were the only Cajuns to win their respective doubles match. Banas and Olechowski won 8-5 in the number one doubles.

Louisiana won number 1, 2, 3 and 5 in singles to clinch the win. Banas won at number one 6-0, 6-3. Javier Pulgar won at number two 7-6, 0-6, 6-1. Olechowski won 6-1, 6-1 at number three. In the deciding match number five Arlen Domoney won a three set thriller 6-7, 6-2, 6-4.

The Cajuns will put their five match win streak on line when the host Abilene Christian Monday at Cajun Courts. The match is set to being a 6 p.m.
